Simple Machines
Folk and blues band
Simple Machines is a three-piece string band based out of Traverse City, MI. Comprised of Tyler Bradley (Bass, Guitar, Vocals), Max Elliott (Bass, Guitar, Vocals), and John Ware (Mandolin, Fiddle, Vocals), they bring an original twist to the bluegrass tradition. Inspired by bluegrass legends like Doc Watson and David Grisman, as others such as Johnny Cash and Jerry Garcia, a Simple Machines performance includes an eclectic mix of jams, soulful originals, and traditional bluegrass tunes. With souring melodies and rousing vocal harmonies, they'll have you bobbin' your head and tappin' your feet all night long.
2025 marked the band's first appearance at the Alluvion in Traverse City, the Idlewild Music Festival in Idlewild Michigan, and the Good Vibes Music Festival in Leslie, MI. Simple Machines is ready to start working on their first ever CD, expected to release some time in 2026.
